Meet Nancy Herron, owner of Island Journeys

My love of travel began in the early 60's when our family moved to Switzerland where we lived in a quaint chalet high in the Alps with incredible views of Lake Geneva. We then moved to England for 3 years where I attended several quite prim and proper girls' schools, learning very good manners. (I didn’t know what a swear word was until I was 14!). After that, we were off to Hawaii for a year where our family took time to travel around the islands, exploring the diverse areas of this exotic and magical state. In 1990, I followed my dreams and entered the world of travel. After working in the industry for several years, my fondness for the islands led me to become a Hawai'i vacation specialist. Since then, 17 years ago, I have been fortunate to have traveled to Hawai'i more times than I can count to familiarize myself with the majority of hotels and condo properties available on all the islands. 

Tahiti is another one of my favorite destinations. I would love to help you plan a family friendly or romantic vacation or honeymoon to this amazing island paradise! Bora Bora is my favorite!

Meet Christie Stilson

My passion for Hawai'i started when I first stepped off the plane in 1970. Discovering the excitement of Waikiki and then the magic of Maui, the tranquility of Kaua'i, the calm of Moloka'i and the luxury of Lana'i, and the diversity of The Big Island ... each has its own appeal. The scribbles of notes taken to share with friends evolved into a small volume that was self-published. Over the years and 28 guidebooks later, Paradise Publications shared with their readers the honesty and insight to accommodations, dining, recreation, beaches, and more. The books have been retired but I continue to be actively involved in the happenings in the islands. The Maui Update, an augment of the books, continues in its 34th year. I'm excited to share with you what is new and what I have rediscovered, so read on in Christie's Maui Update!
