The Island of Maui

With its long white sand beaches and crystal blue green waters, Maui is the perfect island for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. Maui also has everything else you would want on your vacation including shopping, sightseeing and trying out great restaurants around the island.

Once a thriving whaling port in the mid-1800s, Lahaina is now a lively gathering place for shopping, dining, entertainment and art lovers. Before 1845, Lahaina was Hawai'i's capital. It has kept the atmosphere of an old whaling town making it a fun place to spend walking around and visiting shops and eating at wonderful eateries, from Subway to 4 star restaurants. Kaanapali and Wailea resort areas aren’t far away, both offering golf courses that would please any golfer. Maui boasts over 15 courses, several of which are ranked at or near the top of the “world’s best” lists.

The awe-inspiring Road to Hana, located on the northeast side of the island, will lead you past Hana to the beautiful and scenic Seven Sacred Pools at Oheo Gulch, with its many lovely waterfalls. The town of Hana is a perfect place to stretch your legs and possibly a stop at the the upscale hotel – the Hotel Hana Maui, for lunch.

Mt. Haleakala is a 10,000 foot dormant volcano crater – the largest in the world. Plan a visit to the top to watch an incredible sunrise, and then take your time riding back down on bicycles. What an experience that is!

Maui is a perfect island for family fun, romantic getaways, outdoor adventures and golf.
